Desperate Writers of Port Alberni Write Again
A collection of short stories and poems
Desperate Writers of Port Alberni
An easy to read compilation of short stories and poems. The authors would like you to enjoy this collection while waiting for the bus, waiting for appointments or just enjoying a cup of tea!
We all knew we were destined to write at an early stage. Margaret knew she wanted to be a writer after she won a High school essay competition. Ann's creative pen has covered every genre of writing. Her favourite is poetry and nonfiction stories she writes for her great grandchildren. Julie spend her time researching and writing family history. Always a story teller, Deb thought she should start writing down the many thoughts which pop into her head.
The four writers met when they signed up for an Elder College Creative Writing workshop. One day someone mentioned they should publish their stories. Their first book, "Desperate Writers" was published in 2007. The book is also a collection of short stories and includes some children's stories as well. The book sold out the first week on the shelves.
Now they are at it again!
