The Morals of Evil
by
Rita Van Damme
Farm life has not turned out to be the pastoral dream Charlie and Beth envisioned it would be. Their childless marriage is shaken by tragedies. Desperate to save their failing homestead, they hire help. Beth’s morals become clouded when she sees the opportunity to raise a child she could call her own in the vulnerable, and pregnant, hired farmhand. When a terrible discovery brings darkness upon them, Beth finds herself caught in a spiral of events that could change her life forever—if she survives.
Rita Van Damme loves rural life. Born and raised in Manitoba, Canada, Rita was first inspired to tell stories by listening to her mom’s supernatural tales. Her greatest passion—besides writing—is her family of four grown sons, their wives, and eleven grandchildren with whom she continues the storytelling tradition. Rita currently resides in Manitoba, where she farms with her husband Raymond. The Morals of Evil is her debut novel.
