Little Kite longs to fly in the sky with his kite friends, but a calm day in the meadow leaves him grounded. Tired of waiting, Little Kite sets off to find the Big Wind for himself. Along the way he meets a wise oak tree, a sleepy hound dog and a blue shirt who share their own experiences with the wind. Tired and frustrated, Little Kite finally calls out to the wind and learns that a step taken in faith can bring the greatest rewards.

Andrea Thiessen lives on a farm in Arnaud, Manitoba with her husband, three children and two hungry cats. She enjoys gardening and riding bikes with her family. This is her first publication and she is discovering she is more like Little Kite than she cares to admit.
