Just Glow With It
Poems, Art and Possibilities
by Chantal Wolf

In her second collection, Just Glow With It: Poems, Art, and Possibilities, poet and visual artist Chantal Wolf explores the roles creativity plays in her life as she navigates living with Parkinson’s. Creativity visits this collection in many forms, as medicine, as a teacher, a means of self-expression, a coping strategy, the beginning of a conversation. But at its heart, this collection seeks to answer: what difference could these make in a world that’s on the brink? and why do I feel ever more compelled to create and carry on? As much as these poems look forward, they turn inward. Using metaphor and imagery, they reflect on themes of aging and healing, loss and grief, creativity and nature. But they don’t linger in any negative space for long. They keep moving, with hope and with joy. Meditative and inspiring, Just Glow With It searches for balance between the dark and the light, inspiration and stagnation, thriving and succumbing. It shows that once we embrace our creativity, we can forge new paths, ones full of promise and wonder.

A poetic meditation on struggle, resilience, and the grace it takes to step fully into life. These poems explore acceptance and joy—a reminder that even in our most fragile seasons, there is beauty worth returning to. With lines "like you were brushed across a sky made of canvas," these poems will take you on a journey of reclamation. — Nicole Dalcourt, Author of What Remains and Host of Solace Writing Circle. Chantal has a gift for gently leading her reader to reflective and inspired spaces. Through her generous artistic offerings, we can find wisdom and hope from a life lived with intention. Created to create, a beautiful sentiment that she shares and demonstrates with ease in these works. Her words will leave an impression that will poke at your curiosity long after you put this book down. — Jillian Morris, Author of "born, genes, and quash" and Poet Laureate of Collingwood, Ontario from 2022 - 2025.
