Raja and the Rings of Freedom
by Avah Broc

"False purity . . . seeking liberty" Vandal, the tyrannical ruler of Wsyrut, has been overthrown by the wicked witch Hagatha. In disgrace, he is exiled to Tern Island, a land governed by fearsome, bloodthirsty giants. Vandal does not believe he will survive this twist of fate, but he uses his knowledge of the land to keep death at bay, even as his hope hangs on by a thread. Meanwhile, Princess Raja, the rightful heir to the throne of Zurkia, has caught wind of Hagatha’s machinations and sets out with a group of fellow adventurers to rescue Vandal. With the help of Birch, an old hermit and the creator of the legendary Rings of Freedom, Raja and her friends brave the dangers of Tern Island and bring Vandal to safety. Vandal, however, is only one part of the equation. Hagatha is committing terrible atrocities against the people of Wsyrut and selling orphans for gold. Vowing to stop her, Raja gathers her friends from across Rousse and sets out to bring justice back to the land. But will her disguises in her covert mission be enough to shield her from Hagatha’s wrath? And will the people of Wsyrut accept a reformed Vandal as their leader? With Zurkia’s freedom on the line, Raja must rely on her wits and bravery to save the day, even as the balance of power shifts behind the scenes.
