From My Treehouse I Can See...
by Angèle Watrin Prodaehl

Climb up into a beautiful treehouse perched high in a grand elm tree… From here, young readers will experience the page-turning wonders of the seasons in a prairie wetland—the sights and sounds of nature, from frogs and beetles in spring to fireflies and stars in summer, golden leaves and migrating birds in fall, and skating on the frozen wetland in winter. This beautifully written and richly illustrated book fosters a deep love for the natural world, inspiring children to explore the outdoors and cherish the environment around them. Each page encourages the reader to find the wildlife discussed in the text hidden within the illustrations. An answer key at the end provides additional scientific insights into the seasonal flora and fauna at a higher reading level. This key expands on each scene, covering items like elm trees, red-winged blackbirds, snowy owls, and constellations visible in the winter sky. Filled with fascinating facts and poetic descriptions, From My Treehouse I Can See… is a story that sparks curiosity and cultivates wonder. What can you see?

Her début children’s book, From My Treehouse I Can See…, is inspired by the real-life playhouse she and her husband built for their children. Angèle lives with her husband, two kids, and way too many cats, beside a prairie wetland that serves as a constant source of inspiration.
