Legend of Leopold of Kermanshah
Wisemen, a Mystic, and a King team up for an epic journey to Bethlehem. The Christmas Story re-imagined
by
Len Nation
The Legend of Leopold of Kermanshah A Wiseman, a Maji, and a King team up for an epic journey to Bethlehem. Grandpa, I’m kind of confused. About what, child? About the three Wisemen, who brought gifts of Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh to Joseph and Mary when Jesus was born. What about them? Well the Christmas Hymn calls them Kings – ‘We three Kings of Orient are.’ But my Bible calls them Magi from the east, and my Sunday School Teacher calls them Wisemen. So, who were they? Kings? Magi? Or Wisemen? Yes! What do you mean ‘Yes’? I mean, Yes-an ancient legend speaks of them as all three-Kings, Magi, and Wisemen. Would you like to hear the legend? With compelling characters, beautifully illustrated in the historical setting of ancient cities, Len Nation has created an authentic, rich, and realistic retelling of the familiar Christmas story. If you’re a Mom or Dad who loves to read compelling bed-time stories to your inquisitive elementary school-age child, you’ll love this book.
