Turned at twenty-one, Mamie Richards has been a vampire for quite a few years now, but she’s never had a serious relationship. Originally from the American Midwest, Mamie now lives in London, Ontario, and there, she starts a new life with Carol. As their relationship develops, Carol reaches a crossroads, where she is not sure if she should continue to work or go to college, and Mamie needs to become more creative in her ways of getting blood. When Mamie joins a group of blood-giving goths, she starts to learn some things about vampires she never knew before—things that will make her question herself, others, and everything she ever knew. In the end, Mamie will have to make a decision that will change her life forever. But what about Carol’s?

B.K. King is a retired professor of music and philosophy who enjoys playing music and reading lesbian literature and books on feminist theory. King also went to formula car racing school and was an amateur driver for a couple of years. King lives in London Ontario.
