Have the young people in your life ever left you inspired with their ability to look at our world in wonder? Have you ever been left speechless, not sure of the correct answer? Have the littles in your life ever looked up at you for strength? Confidence? Affirmation? As caregivers, our role in life is to guide, direct, and mentor. Funny how we also become students in the process. Children do not need many words to shed light on their brilliance and luminescent qualities. Karina Fast has shown us that everyone has superpowers to share with the world. How? We are all "kind of" awesome.

Karina Fast is a high school English and physical educator who is enthusiastic about life. She opened her own business, Kiddin' Around in 2001, inspiring young parents to move along with their children. Karina's passion for movement also lead to a 26 year career in certified fitness leadership. When Karina isn't celebrating and motivating others in the classroom or gymnasium, you can find her crafting stories and plays or dancing to a great playlist in the kitchen. She is a currently pursuing her Masters in Education at the University of Manitoba in Second Language Acquisition. Winnipeg is the city that she calls home, where she lives with her husband Doug, and reminisces about the times when her children all lived under one roof. The memories of those amazing and transformative years often get the pen in motion. Karina is a storyteller, a lover of cartwheels, and her four-legged friends: Jolene and Charlie.
