Golda is a little girl with a vibrant imagination who loves gardening. She knows that sunlight is needed for her plants to grow after the rain falls on the seeds. So she embarks on a journey to find Father Sun to make her vegetable garden grow. She starts her journey very happy in her beautiful rain outfit dancing and singing as she goes through the village, where she receives gifts of food to keep her on her journey. Also, along the way she meets new friends who help her on her quest to find Father Sun and complete her journey.
This book is about a childs imagination and determination to nurture her garden
Viola Haughton is a Jamaican native who currently lives in Canada. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a major in Native Studies and a minor in Expressive Writing. She has written numerous stories over the years, including those in her Jamaican dialect, which she has shared in schools and churches. Her passion for writing children’s stories developed while reading to her son and his friends as he grew up.
