The Blue Stone
by
Kathleen Pointen
The Blue Stone is a fairytale for little girls of every age. Mysterious and enchanting, it is a visual delight of colour, mystery and magic. It begins in the present when a young teacher, Miss Jane Julia Kapella, discovers she is not who she thought she was. Follow Jane from the past to the present as Janes forgotten childhood memories begin to resurface in flashbacks and dreams. We meet the wonderful Mr. Silverman, and other fascinating people she meets on the journey of finding her destiny.
KATHLEEN POINTEN has written many songs, poems, and short stories for her family and friends' amusement and enjoyment. She joined a writing group and listened to her instructor's advice to “follow the words and see where they take you.” The words led Kathleen into the world of Magical Realism, allowing her to escape from the worries of the world. Kathleen and her husband live on a small ranch near Calgary, Alberta.
