COVID-19: What Does It Mean?
by Maryellen Coons

This book deals about how the world changed so quickly in 2020 through 2022 when the world was hit with the unknown COVID-19 PANDEMIC. It talks about the wearing of masks, staying home and having to be homeschooled. It talks about parents working from home and no-one not being able to see family and friends. It deals with all the restrictions that took place to keep everyone safe. And then it deals with the world eventually returning to a new normal, going back to work and school, being able to see family and friends again.

Maryellen was born in Newfoundland, CA and moved to British Columbia at a young age. She was raised in a small farming community in Northern British Columbia. Now living in Northern Alberta, with her husband, she has three grown sons and two grandsons who live close by. She also has a 2 year old Chocolate Lab named Oakley which keeps her busy. Anyone who knows her says, she can tell a great story. Her own children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews have always said the best part of growing up was listening to her impromptu stories which she told with great enthusiasm. Maryellen still enjoys being around smaller children and spending time talking to them as well as listening to them. She often says there is nothing like reading a story to a group of small children and the excitement in their eyes just waiting for the next line. From helping in the Kindergarten classrooms to looking after neighbourhood children she has always enjoyed being with the younger children.
