Her father is a physician, so she grew up surrounded by the ins and outs of medicine. Dr. Mitchell is a firm advocate for the need to rehaul the way the healthcare system is currently implemented. She understands the importance of the social determinants of health, in explaining health outcomes while recognizing the biggest responsibility is on the individual. Dr. Mitchell is a busy mother, who enjoys traveling and trying out different food.
