A graduate of Ryerson University’s Child and Youth Care Program, Stephanie Scott has been working with children, youth and adults with complex needs and mental health challenges in various settings for over a decade. She has found inspiration in their unique journeys. She hopes to provide an outlet for others to gain awareness, communicate their needs, learn coping tools, and obtain skills that fosters positive change and healthy development through her published children’s books. Stephanie’s award-winning debut children’s book Buckle Up: A Children’s Imaginary Journey about Self-Control is the first in her collection that promotes social-emotional learning. When she is not working, she enjoys writing and creating resources, travelling, listening to music, and organizing! She also loves spending time with family and friends who bring light, love, and humour into her life. She currently resides in Southwestern Ontario, where she continues to pursue her goals in the child and youth care field.
