Idea Gods
A Biography
by
Benn Hahd
Child is always getting in trouble for questioning the word of God. But are those words really God’s? Or are they merely a distorted and vulnerable version, changed to fit the wants of humans? Idea Gods is part manifesto, dissecting the reasons for the creation of different gods, and part fictional story, following a young boy known simply as Child as he questions authority. While exploring how humans create “idea gods” to reflect their own beliefs and ideals and therefore achieving their need to feel fulfilled, Hahd proposes a new strategy for achieving inner peace: forget about your sense of self.
Benn Hahd wrote Idea Gods for his children and for anyone who may ever have felt drawn toward the faith horizon. Though not a true story, parts of the book are based on true events from Hahd’s life. He currently lives in British Columbia.
