Miracle Milton and his Magic Legs
by Dustie Hall

When Milton is born, his legs are deformed and like wobbly noodles, and he can barely stand up on his own. But this horse is determined to see the world—and with the help of some magic legs, he might just get there! Milton has to spend the first few weeks of his life inside, but soon he’s strong enough to go outside. What will happen when Milton finally has the chance to leave the barn? Will his magic legs be able to do everything Milton dreams of? Miracle Milton and his Magic Legs is based on the true story of Milton the horse. Milton was born ten days too early, and wasn’t fully developed. But that hasn’t stopped Milton! His will to live, his fun and goofy personality, and his curiosity show everyone how much he was meant to be a part of this world. Milton has warmed the hearts of his owner Nicole, her family and friends, and everyone who meets him.

She raised three children of her own, has an early children education background, and has worked as a children’s coach as well as running her own daycare. Dustie was a leader in 4H horse club, and has taught many children about horses, including helping autistic and ADHD children flourish with the benefits of how horses can help with disabilities. In her free time, Dustie likes to ride her horses in all different activities, tend to a bountiful garden and enjoy the outdoors. Dustie lives on a hobby farm in Prince George, BC, with her husband and their dogs, horses, chickens and honey bees.
