No Night Is Dark
by
Jasmeen Waraich
15-year-old Ora Abelson has no idea that her sister Noa's birthday party would be the last time her family and friends in Germany would be together. Early the next morning, her father tells her that they must leave their home to escape the persecution of Jews, and the two of them flee to Canada together. Over the next few months, Ora does her best to adapt to her new school, her new peers, and her new country while holding out hope that she will be able to return home soon. No night is dark will appeal to an audience of teenagers and young adults intrigued by history.
Jasmeen Waraich is currently in high school and 'No night is dark' is her debut novel. She shares a huge love for history, biology, politics and poetry. She is a member of writing clubs in her school. She plans to proceed her career as a humanitarian nurse.
