Christmas Angel
by
Wendy Beck Messner
After the loss of her sister, Maeve struggles with grief during the holidays. Losing a loved one is never easy but when Mom tells Maeve and her little brother Justin the story of the Christmas Angel, it reassures them that the pain they feel is an extension of their love for their sister. If they look closely, they will see signs throughout the year as gentle reminders that she is always with them. This is a story of love loss, and hope.
Wendy Messner is the Founder and Executive Director of Rage Against Addiction, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing awareness and support to anyone struggling with drug and/or alcohol abuse. Rage was founded in 2014 after she discovered her own daughter was battling drug addiction. On Christmas Day in 2015, her daughter tragically lost her battle. Wendy is passionate about RAA’s message and is dedicated to educating communities that “No Family is Immune!” to the disease of addiction. She lives in Forest Hill, Maryland with her family.
