Our Viet Nam
by Ian Temple Roberts

A 12-year-old returns to his birthplace. He walks with his American mother, his Korean-born sister, his new English dad, and the Tay Ninh orphanage director. This photo-story is a tribute to international adoption with caring facilitators. Close-in images bring Viet Nam alive, from South to far North.

IAN TEMPLE ROBERTS is a lifelong traveler with a camera. He finds often unnoticed beauty. An English American out of Yorkshire (the north, country) with London teacher parents (the south, town) and Scottish blood (mixed-up kid). In his business career, he brought new products (food vending) and methods (corporate strategy planning) to long established corporations. To UN and U.S. international development teams, he introduced experiential training (Coverdale), increasing ‘cooperation to mutual benefit’. Ian puts his own travel and photography to work for communities. His poetry, Figments and Fragments (pub Lulu 2014), and photo-autobiography, Hidden in Plain Sight—Moments of Beauty (pub Friesenpress 2015), follow his wanderings. He lives in Virginia with his wife, roams England with family, a Cambridge history degree, and the travel bug.
