What's Under All Those Leaves?
by
Sally Zolkosky Labadie
Have you ever wondered what's under all the leaves on the floor of the woods near your home? Is anything there? Take a walk through these woods and discover all the little "critters" that depend on those leaves that seem to clutter the ground.
Sally Labadie taught elementary students for thirty-two years, spent five years as a elementary principal, and followed up with thirteen years as a field instructor, science course instructor, and elementary intern coordinator at Michigan State University. Now retired, she and her husband reside in Bancroft, Michigan, where she loves the beauty of her own woods.
