Fairy Rose and The Power of Eleven
The One by Catherine Ann Tocher

When Fairy Rose was born at 11:11 on the morning of the 11th day of the 11th month, the legend of The Power of Eleven became a little more real to the folks of Kaleidoscope Creek. It was once said that

“The One who holds The Power must choose the Other Ten”.

Join Fairy Rose as she brings together the eleven brave young souls who will form the group known as The Power Of Eleven. Together they pledge to save, protect and preserve the world’s waters, land, flora and fauna. Rose and her ethereal friends discover the West Coast Trail, Aurum the Golden Spirit Bear, and the very forward thinking little Dragon, Shadow, in their quest to halt environmental destruction and encourage thoughtful progress in the generations to follow.

Catherine’s love of Fairies led her to create a miniature world of make believe on her three-and-a-half acre Saltspring Island property. She builds tiny houses to place along the trails and mossy bluffs, and enjoys guiding children of all ages through her Enchanted Forest.

Now, she brings her magical world to a wider audience. Catherine weaves together her vivid imagination, her love of Fairies, and her considerable writing skills into a new series, 'Fairy Rose and The Power of Eleven'. Catherine introduces young people to ideas about collaboration, the need to preserve our natural environment, the importance of respect for cultural differences and the development of self-esteem while enchanting them with her magical world of Fairies, Mermaids, Dragons and Trolls.
