Heather and her partner, Kevin, live in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, with their dog and cat, Tilly and Boo. She has a diploma in Performing Arts and loves the theatre, walking in the woods and writing. The main character for this book was inspired by her favorite childhood toy, a stuffed elephant named "Ellie" given to her by her aunt and uncle. This is Heather's first book.
