Veleyne attends Wesley Chapel Free Methodist Church in Scarborough, Ontario, with her husband, Edwin Sr. She is an active member of the congregation, singing in the Sanctuary Choir and serving as coordinator of the Care Ministry. She and Edwin have two grown children and three grandchildren.
