B. J. Doyle was born and raised in Jasper National Park. She obtained her post-secondary education in British Columbia and Washington, completing a fine Art School certificate, Bachelor of Education in Science and Technology and a Masters degree in Education. The sensitivity of her written work is like reflections in mountain lakes, while the color and accurate detail in her watercolor and acrylic paintings are as dramatic as a crashing avalanche.
