See Through Love

Rodd Thunderheart
Every woman has experienced a moment where they wish that they could just disappear... High school teacher Carolina Dominguez has the unique ability to turn invisible at will. While she usually has control over her supernatural ability, Carolina becomes invisible every time she is attracted to a man. When Carolina finds herself infatuated with the hot new gym teacher, Julian Marchiel, she is shocked to discover Julian is blind... but he can see her! Once Julian’s secret past resurfaces, Carolina and Julian find their relationship entangled in lust, supernatural powers, and government intrigue.
Standing in front of his desk, she watched closely as he remarked about attitude on each student. After several minutes, she decided she should go since her invisibility would only wear off if she was away from his hunky, dreamy self. Looking at the clock, it was halfway through lunch and almost time to go home for the teachers. She turned back and stared at him. He had a handsome face. She moved so that her eyes were even with his. Hands on the desk and holding her breath, she moved closer, putting her lips right up close to him. She felt warm inside looking at him, and she considered stealing a kiss. He wouldn't notice. Okay, he would…but what could he do? Pulling away she looked at him and saw he was smiling. He was staring right at her. She drew in her breath quietly and froze. For the first time in her life, Carolina felt naked—exposed—and though invisible she instinctively moved her arms to cover her body, to which he actually cracked a grin! He rubbed his nose, sighed mournfully and looked around. His pen scratched the paper and she felt better He hadn't noticed her. He was muttering to himself and busy with his paperwork, and she slowly exhaled. It was just a coincidence and she suddenly felt ridiculous. To think that she thought he'd actually seen her! Her whole life no one had ever seen her when she was invisible and it was silly of her to think he had. Carolina smiled, almost laughing to herself, and felt she'd better leave—after all when he 'looked' at her, it scared her spitless. She turned to go, only to have the shock of her life. "You can come out! I know you've been there for most of the block!"
