From Bipolar To The Cross
A real life experience of mental illness and God's healing power.
by Jack E. Bales and Jack E. Bales

In Phillipians 4:13, it states, “You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.” Even when man and the odds are against you, you can achieve many successes. In this sick world we live in, we base success on position and wealth. But the world is full of fear of mental illness, terrorism and crime, and what we want most in life is taken from us, in ever increasing crime and terrorism. What has pulled me though my many adversities is not the short term vision of what is in this world, but the long term vision of what lies beyond - after my death. What people did to me and the news of what we do to one another, brought such fear and anxiety, that I wanted to kill my self to escape this WORLD. When I finally learned to take the focus off myself, by helping others, healing was achieved. I find peace in my battles, knowing that it is what we do to ourselves that brings destruction to our world, and by placing our lives in Gods hands, we find LOVE, PEACE, and JOY, knowing what happens here on earth is not the end. When you change, you change the world. One man, Nelson Mandela is proof that Love conquers all!

Could you use the testimonial Pip gave me in my letter.

I was born in 1954 and was adopted by Loren and Judy Bales of Bethany, Oklahoma. My biological mother was of Italian descent, her name being Mary Pulito, sealed the records so I could not contact her. My adoptive mother went back to college while I was in high school, and influenced me to go to college to pursue my dream of being a medical doctor. They could not afford to pay my tuition, so I worked my way through, only for my grades to suffer. I went on to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Pre-medicine in 1982. I furthered my education by graduating in 1987 with an Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering and entered the field of Biomedical Electronics. I worked as a technician from 1987 to 2009. In pursuit of a patent for a device, I faced a surmountable amount of money to hire a Software Engineer to write a program for the device to run. Thus, I began a two year Master’s program in Software and Information Systems Engineering, and graduated in 2013. I was not able to achieve my original dream but achieved many of my alternative goals, one which is being an author.
