Growing Up Canadian: Volume 3
by Clyde Woolman

What a ride! And this third and final volume of the Growing Up Canadian trilogy completes the journey. The youthful days of Canada’s boomer crowd are told with wit and humour. Part history, part trivia, part pop culture and fully Canadian, this volume includes an array of topics featuring music, television, hobbies, sports, lifestyle, politics, school life, and much more. Covering every region of Canada there are short-read entries on personalities and events universally recognized—on those that require a caffeine jolt to fire up the memory cells—and those that may have previously been unknown. Reading about the past was never this much fun!

"A fun and informative read that brought back so many memories of my younger years." - Dave Celli “A great ride back to my younger days.” - Judy Carswell “If you’ve hit the magic age of 60 and want an easy and enjoyable jaunt down memory lane, this book’s for you.” - Tom Demeo

Card-carrying baby boomer Clyde Woolman had a distinguished career in education as a Canadian history teacher, principal, and superintendent of schools. He has published eight other books, ranging from young-adult adventure novels Smugglers at the Lighthouse and Yurek: Edge of Extinction, to light-hearted, satirical novels about teaching and schools, Hepting’s Road and Dragons at the Schoolhouse Door. When he isn’t writing, Clyde enjoys playing tennis (poorly), golf (even more poorly), and puttering about in the garden. He lives in the Comox Valley, BC, with his wife and cat.
