Alliance
by
S.L. Jamison
As war brews between the alien Migs and Marines on the twin planets of the Gourt system, twenty-five-year-old Jesse Dragonfly now leads a hidden settlement of rescued orphans. Working as a crystal trader with her brother, Thomas, she tries to remain neutral, but everything changes when she rescues a wounded Marine colonel from a battle and brings him to safety. As Jesse begins to suspect that Thomas is secretly selling crystals to the Marines, her uneasy partnerships become strained. When the head of the Space Council asks her to use her matrix Trianic—a rare skill she alone possesses—her loyalties are tested. Hunted by the Council and betrayed by the only family she has left, Jesse must confront old traumas as she decides who, if anyone, she can trust. While the war escalates around her, she knows her choices could shift the balance of power across the entire Gourt system. Alliance is the second book in the Dragonfly of the Gourts series.
The universe is a symphony of vibrating strings. Michio Kaku
S.L. Jamison has a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Science and a Masters in Speech Pathology, which led to a fulfilling career teaching children how to speak. She has had a lifelong fascination with and connection to crystals and is a certified crystal practitioner and Master of Crystology. She resonates with Nikola Tesla's quote: “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.” S.L. is an avid gardener and loves to kayak and camp in the summer in the rugged wilderness of Alaska, where she lives with her husband, Mike and their two cats, Rags and Muffin. Summers are spent fishing in Prince William Sound and winters are spent traveling between Washington and Texas and any Caribbean island that has hot sun and waves.
