Have you ever heard the term rescue dog? Are you one of many that believe your dog has a special purpose to be in your life? This book features a Newfoundland breed dog (IZZY) who “Pawsitively” teaches us a healthy way to deal with loss. As a United States Customs and Border Patrol agent, IZZY and his Pal Fitzroy, also a Newfoundland, agent remind others that they are never alone and the comebacks are always better than the setbacks. This is the 4th book in the “Pawsitively”, kids’ book series of Service Dogs adventures. Appealing to dog lovers everywhere and those that have had to deal with loss, the chance to represent those who have been called home before us. IZZY will warm the hearts of the readers and remind them it’s okay to grieve, heal with the added bonus of a behind-the-scenes look at the diligence and dedication of the United States Customs and Border Patrol.
Mike is an accomplished author by grace and a calling to help build people and things up. When asked by members of the United States Border Protection to help with the challenge of creating a kids’ book that shows the behind-the-scenes, heartfelt efforts of those in uniform but the sometimes overwhelming task of dealing with loss and saying goodbye to loved ones. With a humbling opportunity to create a soul-stirring book for them, the Missouri native created a fourth book featuring known and beloved Service Dog agents IZZY and FITZROY. His previous works include “Pawsitively DAX”, “Pawsitively RASTA“, and “Pawsitively LOLA”. Mike has a tradition of using real pictures in each of his kids books to keep the reader engaged and help emphasize the teaching moments within each page.
