Peepers Peeping
Little People’s Poetry
by
Betty Nadine Thomas
Peepers Peeping has been an absolute labor of love and bringing all these little creatures to life has been an amazing experience. Written for a time when life in our world is filled with negativity and difficulty. It is an attempt at bringing some moments of joy into our lives that is desperately needed. Even though it is written for children, Adults should find it uplifting also. It is my hope that those who read Peepers Peeping find time to smile, re-experience some happy childhood memories or create new joyful moments. Maybe Peepers Peeping will inspire you to create your own little creatures and write stories about them to share with others. Many of us forget how to play, to dance, and to enjoy the simple pleasures that surround us every day. Life can be magical if you discover or re-discover those beautiful joyful moment that are in your lives. Sometimes all you have to do is open your hearts.
Betty Nadine Thomas is the author of Purple Hats and Pink Tutus (2007), Unleashed (2023), Walking Two Worlds (2024) and Dimensions (2024). Born in California where she grew up surfing and still is boogie boarding in her mid-70's. Betty has traveled all over the United States working for the Red Cross being deployed in many emergency disasters. She recently retired from being an Emergency Management Agency Director in charge of emergency disasters in her local area. Betty has lived in three corners of the United States. She has worked for VISTA in New Mexico, studied art and business in Arizona and built houses in Washington State. Her passion for drawing and writing led her to create her first book, Purple Hats and Pink Tutus. That passion continues and has been enhanced by her diversified life experiences and travels. These experiences have allowed her to meet and see many people, sometimes at the worst moments of their lives, which allowed her to see and interact with humanity from a unique perspective. Betty plans on continuing writing and drawing for the rest of her life. Her primary goal in her work is to teach, open negative narrow minds and open hateful hearts into accepting all people for whom and what they are regardless of race, religion and or sexual orientation. Currently, Betty has retired from Emergency Management Services, relocated to Portugal and is currently working on writing her tenth book which will be published in the future.
