Amelia and the Amulet
by
Chris Winters
When Amelia’s father disappears during an archaeological dig in the Welsh village of Capshore, she’s devastated. A year later, she discovers a mysterious amulet hidden among his possessions. The amulet is broken, but she soon finds out that it can transport her back in time to the 1500s, to a very same village where her father went missing. Driven to find out what happened to him, Amelia befriends William, a local peasant boy. Together two teenagers and a beagle named Princess Bob explore the past and the present, forging a friendship that runs deep. But what the two teenagers don’t know is that the amulet’s owner is a dangerous member of the Knights Templar. And he wants his magic back… Amelia and the Amulet is a quick-paced, funny adventure story for teen readers. With daring action scenes and an engaging mystery, it invites viewers to glimpse what life was like in the Middle Ages… and just how far a person might go to escape into the future.
