Karoly is of Hungarian descent, Hungarian Easter Bread has always been a tradition observed in their country and in his family. It is usually referred to as Kalacs pronounced (Kaw-lahch) which is sweet bread. You can make as a loaf but typically it is a braided loaf with raisins and/or nuts. With a love for baking and working for a period of time as a baker at a local bakery; Karoly, in 1965 created this easy version of Easter bread. Since that time it has been his tradition, that every Easter he would make his bread sharing with relatives and friends. Now he would like to share his beloved recipe with others.
