Scars of Grace
Ordinary Women. Extraordinary Grace.
by
Pam Dyck
Scars of Grace tells the stories of ordinary women who experienced extraordinary grace, and in the process became strong witnesses of God’s faithfulness. In seasons of pain, loss, and uncertainty, they rose up from their struggles with hearts open and full of love. Pam Dyck brings together the testimonies of women who have walked through difficult and often devastating circumstances—domestic abuse, addiction, illness, death, marital breakdown, and crises of faith—and have encountered God’s help and comfort along the way. Told with honesty and humility, each story invites readers into real lives to ask the hard questions. Though the subjects are heavy, the stories offer hope, as they bear witness to God’s presence and healing, reminding us that restoration is possible even in the darkest of circumstances. Suitable for individual or group study, Scars of Grace serves as an inspiring companion for anyone seeking encouragement or a renewed understanding of God’s nearness in the midst of trials.
Pam Dyck has walked through seasons of pain, loss, and uncertainty, discovering unexpected grace in those moments. This has nurtured in her a deep compassion for women facing their own struggles, and it shapes every story she tells. Her desire is to offer encouragement and hope to women through her writing, so that they know they are not alone. Ms. Dyck published her first book, Soul Restored, in 2024. When she’s not writing, she enjoys reading, travelling, watching movies, and having long coffee dates with friends. She loves studying relationships, communication, and the art of truly listening—interests that continually inform the way she approaches both life and her work. She lives in Abbotsford, British Columbia Canada, with her husband of fifty years. She’s a mother of five and grandmother of nine.
