My House Renovated One Room At a Time
A Six-Week Bible Study What It Means to be Remodeled in Christ
by Paulie Rogers

"Exhausted from the whirlwind of wedding activities, we stood in front of our antiquated old house, staring at the grandeur of it. I took in the intricate carved workmanship etched in the solid wood front door, the detailed front porch with it's trims and spindled railings. The romantic gabbled windows that jutted out from tall majestic roof lines.... my husband on the other hand, saw the rot that was causing the porch about to fall away from the house, the wood shingles that had let loose, the warped door that wouldn't quite shut properly and the old windows that were cracked and single paned. This was our house that we were about to make into our home." Remodeling isn't easy. It can be painstakingly hard work. And once you start, where does it end....? In this unique Bible Study, Paulie Rogers takes the reader on a journey of self-restoration with Jesus, while sharing examples of living in a farmhouse, that is in dire need of it's own restoration, one room at a time. And when the project is finished, our joy is complete.

"In Revelation 3:20, Jesus tells us He is standing at the door of our heart knocking for entrance. It is up to us whether or not we want to let Him in. Paulie Rogers has let Him in, not only to her heart, but her home as well. In fact, He has shown Himself to her in every room of an old farmhouse easily pictured through her words. Using a "grass roots" writing style and wonderfully "homey" illustrations, she transparently shares insights that can speak to the heart of any reader. There is a scriptural lesson in nearly every nook and cranny of the Old Victorian. But the best part of all is the fellowship to be had with the Savior who has been invited in. Reading "My House Renovated" will deepen your love and appreciation for Jesus, who knocks daily on every heart's door." —Pastor Lee Venden

Paulie Rogers lives in the beautiful (but cold) north-central region of Saskatchewan, Canada, where rolling hills, spruce forests and an abundant number of lakes fill the countryside. She and Kenny, her husband of thirty-six years, run a large hay farm in the summer and bush clear in the winter (yes, Paulie runs heavy equipment as needed). They have raised two remarkable children who are both married with families of their own, giving them seven grandchildren. She has spent over twenty-five years as a playwright and director for her local community theater and church, producing numerous productions. When God called her to pull away from secular theater to write for Him and only Him, Paulie learned what it truly means to walk in the steps of Jesus for an incredible, satisfying journey of faith, hope and personal acceptance. Paulie's passion is sharing a personable Jesus through story telling, devotionals and speaking engagements. She is co-founder of Restored with Love ministry and is currently working on her first novel.
