"In Train-the-Trainer: Planning and Leading Instruction at Work, veteran educator Marg Wall draws upon 30 years of front-line experience applying the principles of adult learning in the workplace to give us a highly readable, maturely conceived, example-rich resource. Every institution or organization that provides on-the-job training to employees or staff should own a copy, and take Wall’s wisdom to heart. I highly recommend it!" —Bill Randall, Professor of Gerontology, St. Thomas University Fredericton NB, Canada "Like a thoughtful teacher, this book clearly and carefully walks you down the path of planning, designing, conducting, and improving professional development initiatives in the workplace. Marg includes detailed processes, examples, and stories from her own personal experience to guide you through each step of creating engaging employee training events. The book also includes detailed guidelines for developing your own instructional plans, followed by the processes and tools necessary to facilitate learning. Finally, she completes this full package by including insightful rubrics to assure effective learning transfer and to evaluate how well this was accomplished. A truly comprehensive guide for anyone involved in adult training. Well done Marg!" —Steve Davis, M.S., M.A., Professional Consultant, Trainer, & Coach.
