Oil's Quest
by
Cody Nernberg
Inspired by Canadian oil and gas workers, Oil’s Quest is an entertaining and educational story that takes readers on a journey from the formation and extraction of oil right through to the manufacturing and purchasing of everyday products. Young readers will follow the oil down the tracks and highways all the way from the deposits to the refineries as they learn that this industry is truly a national pursuit. With a repetitive narrative and vivid illustrations, Oil’s Quest will provide young readers with new discoveries and knowledge every time they pick it up.
A powerful resource to encourage pride in a Canadian industry and our nation’s critical role in the world, Oil’s Quest will make an informative and much-loved addition to personal and classroom libraries.
Cody Nernberg spent his childhood in Inglis, Manitoba. After graduating high school, he moved to Alberta to pursue a career in the Canadian oil and gas industry. Not long after that, he married his high school sweetheart, Gillian, and together they have two sons, Kaden and Kai. He currently works as a Project Manager in Calgary.
In his spare time, he enjoys snowboarding, golfing, biking, travelling, and telling stories. Oil’s Quest is his first book.
