Getting to Know Your Yard
by Kailey Noble

Getting to Know Your Yard is for environmentally conscious parents wanting to share the natural world with their young children in an interactive way. It allows children to interact with nature in a holistic way, exploring the sounds, feels and rhymes of Canadian flora & fauna. Immersing children into nature as early as possible can instill a love for the outdoors. We want kids to walk away with a sense of: · Whimsical interest in the world around them · Intrigue to explore different ecosystems · An opportunity to create their own story · Inspiring their imagination while creating word to picture recognition In the Getting to Know series, we give readers the chance to inspire their own stories. 5% of each book sold goes toward tree planting in the rainforest. Getting To Know Your Yard is the first book in a series of exploration and delight where children will learn new things and have a fun time rhyming along with their parents. Come along on our journey of Getting to Know…!

Kailey has always had a love for nature and exploring. She has been climbing trees since she could walk and immerses herself into nature as much as she can! Her inquisitive personality has led her on all sorts of worldly adventures from the Canadian Rockies to Costa Rica. Her home in Cobourg, Ontario is nestled in trees and beckons the outdoors in. Her passion is telling stories through her art; creating nature inspired jewelry, wood pyrography and saving things from the landfill. Naturally when her eldest daughter was born, she wanted to share her love of the earth. What better way to do that, than creating a story for her.
