The Elfling and the Woodpecker
Elder elf Buxton is in a terrible dilemma – his beard is stuck to a tree and nighttime is approaching. Bastian the elfling seeks the guidance of a woodpecker and other woodland friends to help. With cooperation and determination, they are able to free Buxton. This sweet and imaginative tale will delight young readers. Teachings about manners, friendship, bravery, and loyalty are all affirmed within the very short tale.
This is the first children's book for Isolde Paul. It is a story she invented for her youngest son, Sebastian, 25 years ago. After a quarter of a century she is finally able to put it down on paper. Thanks to the editors and illustrator Laura Catrinella at FriesenPress.
