Merrett's Chase
by Ian Mitchell-Gill

Dan Merrett is a happy man. Everything is going his way, until it's suddenly not. He works with the most dangerous teenagers on the planet. The "felonious five" are a handful, but at least they are no threat to society while they expand their skills as captives in the Brockmann School of Excellence. All that changes when the team escapes and lead the CIA on a destructive and dangerous chase all over the west coast. Laws are broken, vehicles explode, shots are fired and lives are risked as the teens stay a half-step ahead of their pursuers. The only man they can depend on, is their teacher. He's the only one they can trust to do his job and help them complete a mission that only they truly understand. This action-packed page turner twists and turns as the team creates mayhem until they get what they truly want. Get comfortable, set aside some time, and get ready to join the chase to capture the world's most dangerous students as they demolish every obstacle in their path!

Ian Mitchell-Gill has worn many hats over the course of his life: lifeguard, athlete, martial artist, public speaker, salesman, musician, bouncer. He currently works as a schoolteacher, though he doesn't claim to have modeled Mr. Merrett after himself. A lifelong reader, he began writing to create samples for this students to help them understand how a story is developed and created. He and his students enjoyed the process so much that he began to write a chapter a week to share with them. Ian says the students were also the inspiration for the story: "I was constantly amazed at the many rich and varied abilities of my students and what they could accomplish." His many experiences and interests proved to be valuable background for some of the characters and situations in the book. His first book, Merrett's Gift, was a labor of love that was brought to a wider audience. The sequel, Merrett's Choice, followed the students on their first official mission, and this novel is the third adventure in the series. Ian lives in Oshawa, Ontario with his wife and two daughters. He continues to teach.
