Danielle Arsenault is slowly changing how we all see the world, one raw-food recipe at a time. Heal & Ignite: 55 Whole Food, Plant-based Recipes to Heal the Body and Ignite the Spirit is the product of patience, imagination and a strong motivation to change the standard American diet that has been proven to do more harm than good. The author of four previous vegan, gluten-free cookbooks in collaboration with Jessica Perlaza, Danielle also runs Pachavega Living Foods Education. She offers whole-food, plant-based catering, nutritional consultation and raw-food chef certification, including a forty-five-hour Healing Whole Foods Preparation Certificate and a seventy-hour Heal and Ignite Raw Chef Certificate. She has been a professor at Pacific Rim College in Victoria, BC, and developed and taught holistic nutrition cooking, superfoods and whole-foods preparation classes. She has also received a Permaculture Design Certificate from Sadhana Forest in Haiti as well as a Living Foods Lifestyle Education Certification from the Ann Wigmore Institute in Puerto Rico. A passionate chef, Spanish teacher, cave guide, slack liner, rock climber, mountain lover and world traveler, Danielle is living proof that eating well can change your life.
