Miraculous Healing
Exploring Miraculous Healing in God's Redemptive Mission
by Max Sturge

Does God Still Miraculously Heal? Some Christians claim that God answered their prayer for a miraculous healing; others are puzzled why God didn’t do likewise for them. Miraculous Healing explores the how, why, and the why not of divine healing. Max Sturge shows how it fits into God’s redemptive plan for the world, including how the cross of Christ relates to human pain and suffering. Sturge’s approach to this fascinating and sometimes controversial topic of miraculous healing is biblically sound, enlightening and heart-warming.

“I love the interesting stories, rich theological reflections and the thought provoking questions at the end of each chapter of Miraculous Healing. Sturge’s major strength is exploring this subject from the perspective of God’s redemptive mission, reminding us that whether in health, sickness or death, God’s purposes will be fulfilled.” - Dr. Yau Man Siew, Associate Professor of Christian Education and Spiritual Formation, Tyndale Seminary, Toronto “Miraculous Healing delivers an inspiring reflection on the perplexing questions regarding miraculous healing. Max Sturge guides the reader on a thought-provoking, biblical journey of personal discovery. I highly recommend this instructive and encouraging book for personal reflection and group discussion.” - Commissioner William W. Francis, Past Chairman, The Salvation Army International Theology Council “The abuse of the biblical promise of healing generates disbelief and scorn. Yet, in the majority world, healings are often a prelude to rapid [church growth]. In Miraculous Healing, Max Sturge walks us through the Scriptures, pointing out frequency and types of healings, following up with important issues such as, why doesn’t God always heal? This helpful book frames the issue, inspiring faith in speaking to our needs and circumstances.” - Brian C. Stiller, Global Ambassador, The World Evangelical Alliance “The writing is good: clear, informative, accessible, with helpful anecdotes and well referenced with Scripture. A very fine work." - Jonathan Raymond, Wilmore, Kentucky, Former President at Trinity Western University, Langley, BC
