Feathers from a Ghost
This book of poetry is a collection of poems that were created on a journey of healing and self-discovery for TaMarah. Trauma affects people in different ways and it can either break someone or make people a force to be reckoned with. As a result of a traumatic childhood she became a survivor, a witness, a catalyst - and a poet, someone who is glad to have lived this far to tell the tale.
"I will begin to disperse of my paralysis." —TaMarah Brown
TaMarah Brown is a poet first and an educator second. Her love of books and reading started when she could barely walk. She still remembers how a new book felt to her as a child as she turned the crisp page or smelled the inside of it. Books still excite her and they are her biggest joys in life. TaMarah has worked in education in various capacities over 15 years and has attempted to pass on her love of learning to all who she has met.
TaMarah is also an advocate for animals and she considers them friends and family, when people have seemed to let her down. Her journey of animal rescue started at 10 years old and she has rescued more than 300 animals on her personal goal of providing safety and love for injured, abused, and neglected animals. TaMarah is not affiliated with any rescue group at this time and works as a private caregiver for neglected animals.
