A Teenage Boy
by Kaiden Sebastien

In the strange middle ground between no responsibility and all responsibility, it's tough for teenagers to find their place in the world. This fresh and gripping poetry collection takes on the struggles that youth face today, from high school crushes to anxiety, depression, and abuse. For those who feel they are being swept out of control, this book offers hope and encouragement. It is a reminder that life is not a brick road; it is a forest filled with paths, some beaten down and some undiscovered. It is up to you to choose where you go.

Kaiden Sebastien is an undergraduate student at Vancouver Island University working toward a degree in creative writing. He has been writing short stories and poetry for over a decade and won awards for his writing in high school. While he wishes he lived in a treehouse with a light-blue-haired witch named Azure, spending their time dancing to old jazz vinyl records and baking fresh bread, he currently lives in Ladysmith, BC.
