The author comes from a small village called Taggar from Punjab India. After high school in Bundala, Punjab, he studied at the Staffordshire Polytechnic and the university of Aston in Birmingham in England. The history was made when Bhagat was elected as Councillor in Stafford, in the Midlands, in England. He was also elected as County councillor. Rare for the person of color to be elected. The Labor Party of England placed him on the list of Parliamentary candidates. He is a chartered engineer from England and a professional engineer registered in Ontario, Canada. He came to Canada in 1983. He served as manager, Siemens Electric Canada, College professor, Section head wired system design, Ontario Hydro and founder president of his own Private College. He had an extensive involvement in many community organizations, Chair of the Canadian Council of Communities, NCM organization etc. He was elected to serve on the National Executive of the Liberal Party of Canada and the National chair Multiculturism. He co-chaired the nomination meeting on behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada that elected the first Sikh member of Canadian Parliament, Hon. Gurbax Singh Malhi. He was appointed by the Governor general of Canada as chair of the unemployment insurance board for the district of Scarborough, Ontario. The Queens Golden Jubilee Medal was awarded to the author for his contributions to the communities.
