A Family for Miya
by Shelly Banman

A spider a hero? Can it really happen? This story tells of an unlikely hero, a spider, that helps a lovable and mischievous puppy out of a tough spot. Learn how working together and not giving up is one of life's important lessons that can have an incredible reward in the end.

This book was inspired by my brother Edward. He likes books that makes him cry. So it challenged me to come up with a story that pulled on heart strings instead of making people laugh. Also the main character was inspired by watching my sister save a spider. Most people want to squish them or run away from them. My sister Cheryl will shoo them out using paper.
